About Frostbite
Hey there — I’m Nick Droege, the guy behind Frostbite. I’m a retired English and Philosophy teacher from Colorado and Nevada, which means I’ve spent decades thinking too much… and now I’ve found a new obsession: pickleball.
After a couple of months on the court, I noticed my paddle — labeled “Maximum Grit,” no less — had gone smooth. Suddenly, my spin was gone, my serves were sad, and my opponents were smiling way too much.
So I did what any slightly obsessive, paddle-frustrated player would do: I went down the research rabbit hole. I dug into surface restoration science. That’s when Frostbite was born — a way to bring your paddle’s texture (and your game) back to life!
Today, Frostbite is a small, proudly made-in-the-USA business run by one guy who loves the game, loves a good challenge, and hates wasting a perfectly good paddle.
Because pickleball should be about having fun — not about buying a new paddle every year. So give Frostbite a try and bring some cold spin back to your game.
